Job summary

Bi-State Development is seeking a MetroLink Mechanic in Saint Louis to perform skilled inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of rail vehicles and related equipment. You will handle diagnostic tests, calibrations, and ensure reliable operation of LRVs on a full-time schedule.

Compensation is hourly at $33.95 with a strong benefits package, including a significant sign-on bonus, overtime opportunities, and robust training that supports long-term career growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic theory
• Experience as a skilled mechanic and ability to read technical publications
• Must obtain/maintain CDL license and DOT physical as required

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on rail vehicles
• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and recalibrate LRVs and related systems
• Operate diagnostic/test equipment and maintain equipment records
• Move LRVs in yard and shop after training and operate related equipment
• Maintain safety and training certifications as required
