Job summary

Universal Health Services' Fremont Hospital is seeking a part-time Licensed Psychiatric Tech (LPT) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join the clinical team in Fremont, CA.

You will provide nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team, and apply the nursing process to patients with psychiatric and personality disorders. Prior psychiatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing.
• CPR/AED certification must be current and a copy provided to HR.
• CPR/ CPI training within 90 days of employment and prior to intervention.
• Minimum one year in a psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under RN direction and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Utilize nursing process and standards of care for assigned patients with psychiatric disorders.
• May require overtime and flexible hours.

We are currently hiring a part time Licensed Psychiatric Tech (LPT)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for Fremont Hospital!

The LPT/LVN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse providing nursing care through collaborative efforts with the interdisciplinary treatment team and in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care and practice to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.

Fremont Hospital is a fully accredited, 145-bed private inpatient psychiatric hospital providing quality care for children through adults. The facility provides a full assortment of care which includes assessments, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial-hospitalization, intensive outpatient psychiatric treatment as well as chemical dependency outpatient care.

Qualifications

Education

Licensure

• Licensed to practice from the State Board of Nursing (LPT/LVN License).

Additional Requirement

• CPR/AED certification must be current and a copy of your certification must be presented to Human Resources upon hire.


• You must successfully complete the Fremont Hospital’s non- violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training course within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with preventative intervention measures.


• You may be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
