Job summary

Ro Health is seeking a qualified LPT for an in-person role at a California State Prison in San Diego. The LPT will conduct health assessments at inmate entry and ongoing to develop healthcare plans, coordinate services with the correctional health team, and manage care for inmates with chronic illnesses.

The position requires a CA state LPT license, CPR/BLS from the American Heart Association, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CA LPT license.
• 1 year of LPT experience.
• CPR/BLS Card from the American Heart Association.
• Proof of negative TB test within the past year.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessments of inmates on entry and ongoing to develop healthcare plans.
• Coordinate healthcare services with the correctional health team.
• Provide ongoing care and management for inmates with chronic illnesses.
• Educate inmates on self-care and lifestyle modifications.
• Respond to medical emergencies within the correctional facility.
• Assess and address mental health issues among inmates.
• Provide health education to inmates on nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each inmate.
• Work closely with correctional officers to ensure safety of staff and inmates.
• Advocate for healthcare needs and rights of inmates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessments of inmates both upon entry and ongoing to develop and implement healthcare plans
• Coordinate healthcare services with other members of the correctional health team
• Provide ongoing care and management for inmates with chronic illnesses
• Educate inmates on self-care and lifestyle modifications
• Respond to medical emergencies within the correctional facility
• Assess and address mental health issues among inmates
• Provide health education to inmates on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each inmate
• Work closely with correctional officers and security staff to ensure the safety of both healthcare providers and inmates
• Advocate for the healthcare needs and rights of inmates
