Job summary

Ro Health, LLC is hiring a California State Prison LPT in San Diego for an in-person, 5x8 schedule with weekend availability. You will conduct inmate health assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate services with the health team.

You will educate inmates, respond to emergencies, address mental health needs, and maintain medical records. CA LPT license, CPR/BLS, and TB test are required to qualify.

Qualifications

• CA LPT license is required and current.
• CPR/BLS certification is required at start.
• Proof of TB test within the last year.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessments of inmates on entry and during care.
• Coordinate services with the correctional health team.
• Manage care plans for inmates with chronic illnesses.
• Educate inmates on self-care and lifestyle changes.
• Respond to medical emergencies within the facility.
• Address mental health needs of inmates.
• Educate on nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate medical records for each inmate.
• Collaborate with security staff to ensure safety.

Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Conduct health assessments of inmates both upon entry and ongoing to develop and implement healthcare plans
• Coordinate healthcare services with other members of the correctional health team
• Provide ongoing care and management for inmates with chronic illnesses
• Educate inmates on self-care and lifestyle modifications
• Respond to medical emergencies within the correctional facility
• Assess and address mental health issues among inmates
• Provide health education to inmates on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each inmate
• Work closely with correctional officers and security staff to ensure the safety of both healthcare providers and inmates
• Advocate for the healthcare needs and rights of inmates

Qualifications:

• CA state LPT license
• 1 year of LPT experience
• Valid CPR/BLS Card from the American Heart Association
• Proof of negative TB test within the past year
• Ability to pass a background check
