Ideal candidates hold a CA LPT license, have at least 1 year of LPT experience, and possess BLS certification. A background check is required, with strong emphasis on patient-centered care and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Active California LPT license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an LPT.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Ability to pass a strict background check.
• Commitment to patient-centered mental health rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications, including psychotropic drugs, and monitor responses.
• Assist in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and suicide prevention.
• Conduct mental health assessments and document progress.
• Monitor and report changes in patient behavior and mental status.
• Implement and follow treatment plans under RNs and providers.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and assist with group counseling.
• Ensure compliance with CDCR regulations and facility policies.
• Collaborate with RNs, psychiatrists, and custody staff for patient safety.
• Educate patients on mental health, adherence, and coping strategies.
• Maintain a secure, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Ro Health is looking for a dedicated Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to join our healthcare team at a California State Prison!

This position plays a vital role in providing essential mental health care to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and rehabilitative environment within the facility.

Details:

• Location: Ione, CA
• Schedule: 5 days/week, 8-hour shifts
• Higher Pay for Travelers: Additional compensation for those commuting 50+ miles from the facility
• Employment Type: Contract

Qualifications:

• Active California LPT license (in good standing)
• At least 1 year of experience as an LPT
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to pass a strict background check
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and mental health rehabilitation

Key Responsibilities:
