Job summary

The Meridian at Punta Gorda is seeking a licensed practical nurse to serve as Wellness Coordinator. In this management-level role, you will work under the Wellness Director to oversee resident services, coordinate personal care and medication services, and guide staff training and supervision on a daily basis.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in assisted living or nursing home settings, strong organizational and documentation skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must be a LPN in good standing and meet all State health requirements.
• Experience 3+ years in Assisted Living and/or Nursing Home.
• Knowledgeable of State and local rules, regulations, laws, and ordinances relating to licensed senior housing.
• Previous supervisory and/or management experience in a related healthcare setting.
• Must have exceptional organizational skills and ability to re-prioritize daily tasks to accommodate fluctuating needs of the resident and community.
• Must have strong documentation skills.
• Must have experience in training and staff development.
• Must have the ability to develop systems for monitoring resident health conditions and for ensuring efficient and safe delivery of resident care.
• Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• The Wellness Coordinator – LPN works closely under the direction of the Wellness Director to assure Resident Services including coordination and supervision of personal care, medication services, staff training, and supervision are completed on a day-to-day basis.
