Job summary

Mercy is seeking an LPN to join our Med-Surg Telemetry unit at our Springfield, MO campus. You will provide patient care using the nursing process under supervision and coordinate with other departments to ensure patient rights and confidentiality.

This full-time weekend position offers sign-on bonuses based on experience, education assistance, relocation support, and shift differentials. Education requirements include MO LPN licensure and BLS; LPN-IV certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current LPN license in the hiring state.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• LPN-IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
• New or experienced LPN candidates considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process under supervision.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
• Work in Mercy's Med-Surg Telemetry unit focusing on adult patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
• Contribute to the Mercy Innovation Unit with ongoing improvement projects.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Position Details:

This position will be working every weekend 7p-7a once off orientation

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
  Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
• Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN
• Certifications:
  • LPN-IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

3D is a Med-surg Telemetry unit which focuses on adult medical patients that require telemetry monitoring. Join our Innovation Unit (IU), which will be a “testing ground” for new innovative/optimization ideas to solve current and future nursing challenges & opportunities using quick PDSA cycles for improvement. All projects will reside under our four ministry wide nursing strategies for improvement. Here you will develop excellent critical thinking and assessment skills as well as use a wide variety of clinical skills.
