Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process under supervision. You will coordinate care across departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality, aligning with Mercy standards.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited RN program, active RN license, ACLS and BLS certifications, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Mercy offers day-one benefits, tuition assistance, PTO, and retirement matching.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Licensure: current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure; meet state board requirements.
• Physical: ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing/walking; grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, squat.
• Certifications: ACLS; BLS or completion within 30 days; other unit certifications as required.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire

  • Other unit specific certifications as required or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.
