Job summary

Shawnee Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Illinois to support clinical operations. You will greet patients, collect vitals, verify identity, and document findings in the EHR while following immunization and medication protocols.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to clinic policies, and timely reporting of reportable diseases to IDPH, with responsibility for point-of-care testing as needed.

Qualifications

• LPN license in good standing with Illinois Board of Nursing.
• Experience using electronic health records for patient data.
• Ability to follow clinic policies on medications and immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisor and team to meet patient needs.
• Follow clinic policies for medication and immunization administration and inventory.
• Prepare exam rooms with equipment and maintain a clean, confidential area.
• Greet patients, escort to exam room, verify name and DOB.
• Obtain vitals and relevant health information and document in EHR.
• Perform Point of Care Testing as required.
• Report cases to IDPH in a timely manner.
