Fairview Health Services in Burnsville, MN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Urology team on a 1.0 FTE basis. The LPN will perform delegated nursing tasks under the supervision of a RN or physician and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver care.

Responsibilities include following the plan of care, prioritizing tasks by acuity, and documenting care in the medical record. Clinic hours are Mon-Thu 7:00 AM–6:00 PM and Fri 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program is required.
• Current LPN License.
• Basic Life Support Certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Follow the patient’s plan of care.
• Prioritize work based on patient acuity in collaboration with the RN or physician/authorized practitioner.
• Perform high and low risk procedures, including medications.
• Recognize when different approaches may be needed based on age or cultural differences.
• Implement assigned aspects of the patient teaching plan.
• Document care in the medical record.
• Communicate with the care team clearly and timely.
• Assist continuity of care for all assigned patients.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and nursing guidelines.
• Respond to emergent situations.
