Responsibilities include coordinating nursing coverage with the Director of Nursing, supervising non-professional staff, identifying staff education needs with the Nurse Educator, managing medications, and delivering direct patient care alongside RNs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of licensed practical nursing.
• Current licensure as a licensed practical nurse in the state.
• Minimum of one year of nurse management experience.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing coverage for safe care.
• Provide professional guidance and supervision to non-professional unit staff.
• Identify educational needs and develop training with the Nurse Educator.
• Oversee medication management to ensure supplies and proper handling per policy.
• Provide direct patient care together with unit nurses to maintain skills.
