Job summary

Genesis in New Mexico is seeking a Unit Manager - LPN to oversee delivery of high-quality nursing care on your assigned unit, ensuring safe staffing and compliant operations.

You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing, supervise support staff, address staff education needs, oversee medication management, and provide direct patient care as needed. A valid LPN license and a minimum of one year in nurse management are required, with BLS/CPR current.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of licensed practical nursing.
• Current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the nursing center's state.
• Must have at least one year of nurse management experience.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing coverage to provide safe nursing care.
• Provide professional guidance and supervision to non-professional unit staff.
• Identify educational needs of the staff and develop training to address with the Nurse Educator.
• Oversee medication management to ensure adequate supplies and that all medications are handled in accordance with company policy.
• Provide direct patient care along with the other unit nurses to maintain skills.
