Job summary

Avantara Mountain View in Rapid City, SD is seeking a dedicated LPN Unit Manager and Staffing Coordinator to lead the nursing unit and coordinate department schedules.

You will supervise clinical staff, ensure infection prevention, and maintain staffing levels to deliver a high standard of resident care. As an LPN Unit Manager and Staffing Coordinator, you are instrumental in managing operations of your assigned unit and also the nursing department staff schedules.

Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Mountain View by assisting with supervising the activities of clinical staff on your assigned unit, providing guidance and education to clinical staff, assisting with instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, ensuring established infection prevention practices are maintained and ensuring adequate staffing for our resident’s needs. ensuring our residents have enough staff in the facility at all times to care for their needs by scheduling employees to meet our resident’s needs, maintaining a master schedule and securing coverage for open shifts when needed. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe. To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an unencumbered State of South Dakota Registered Nurse (L.P.N.) license, C.P.R. Certification, and two (2) years of L.P.N. experience. Prior experience managing a nursing department or unit and five (5) years of L.P.N. experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
