Job summary

Kingman Healthcare in Kingman, AZ is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support its Thoracic Surgery program. The team uses state-of-the-art technologies and a collaborative model to deliver advanced patient care.

Position is full-time, dayshift, 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, on-site. You will assist physicians, coordinate surgical scheduling, support pre- and post-operative care, and ensure accurate documentation and patient communication.

Qualifications

• 3 years clinical experience in a healthcare office setting.
• Licensed Practical Nurse license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical procedures, including scheduling with surgeons and assistants.
• Coordinate referrals and manage billing/insurance related to surgery.
• Inform patients about details of their surgery, risks, benefits and recovery time.
• Ensure documentation and patient records are in order, including consent forms.
• Perform other duties to support department and organization.

Position Purpose: Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) assist in providing excellent patient care by assisting physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office settings. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by the physician.

Hours/Shift: Full Time/Days - 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgicalprocedures,includingsurgeonandsurgicalassistantscheduling,patient scheduling, pre-operative preparation, and post-operative follow up appointments.
• Coordinatewithother healthcareprovidersforpatientreferralsandmanagepatient billingandinsurance matters related to surgery.
• Informpatientsabout the detailsoftheirsurgery,includingrisks,benefits,andrecoverytime.
• Ensureallnecessarydocumentationandpatientrecordsareinorder,includingverificationofadvanced directive status, informed consent and sterilization consent forms when appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of department and organization.

Qualifications

• Education: HighSchool graduateor equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years clinical experience working in a healthcare office setting, scheduling, and/or authorizations.
• Certification: N/A
• License: Licensed Practical Nurse
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A basic understanding of medical terminology and surgical procedures.

Work Requirements

• Able to reach above and below shoulder level, lift, bend, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and sit for the full scheduled shift.
• Able to use telephone and computersoftwareandhardwareformostofthe shift(90%ofthe day).
• Expected duties have possible, but not routine, potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.
