Job summary

Topaz Fiscal Services LLC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants in accordance with regulations. The role expects leadership, teamwork, and adherence to facility policies to maintain high quality care.

The successful candidate will perform charting, medication administration, care planning, and daily nursing operations, while upholding resident rights and safety in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with current state license.
• Excellent technical, assessment and documentation skills.
• Good Leadership qualities.
• Organized and detailed in work performance.
• Good communication skills with patience and self-discipline.
• Genuine caring for elderly and disabled in a nursing facility.
• Comply with Residents Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care industry.
• Meet with assigned nursing staff and support personnel to plan shift services and activities.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to maintain the resident’s total care plan.
• Participate in the facility’s quality assurance program and surveys by authorities.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports and maintain documentation.
