Job summary

LaFollette Medical Center in Tennessee is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide essential nursing care under the supervision of RNs and in collaboration with the care team. The role includes assessments, medication administration, and implementing care plans to support positive patient outcomes.

You will educate patients and families, document care accurately, and participate in infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of LPN experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Licensure as LPN or LVN with state licensure required.
• BCLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs and ADL assistance.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed per safety protocols.
• Develops and evaluates patient care plans with the team.
• Documents care, interventions, and observations accurately.
• Educates patients and families on health maintenance and discharge care.
• Ensures infection control and safety compliance.
• Responds to medical emergencies and supports code team.
• Mentors staff and nursing students as assigned.
• Maintains equipment and supplies for patient care.
• Maintains reliable attendance and adheres to policies.
