Job summary

The LPN will provide direct patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and contribute to education for patients and families while adhering to state regulations and infection control

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of LPN experience in a healthcare setting.
• LPN license in the applicable state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans with the team.
• Document care and interventions accurately in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and post-discharge care.
• Assist with wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection within scope.
• Participate in orientation and training of new staff or nursing students as assigned.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Respond to medical emergencies and support code team interventions within scope of competency.
