Job summary

The ideal candidate is an MA-licensed LPN with at least 2 years of experience, CPR AED, and CORI/SORI fingerprint clearances. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse in Massachusetts (MA) is required.
• Minimum 2 years of LPN experience.
• CPR/AED certification current.
• MA DESE CORI/SORI and fingerprint as determined by Superintendent.
• Ability to think critically and react decisively in emergencies.
• Strong communication with students, families and staff.
• Maintains confidentiality; collaborative and flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

• Manage all facets of health services in the school setting.
• Administer medications per state regulations with RN guidance.
• Conduct immunization surveillance and screening programs where applicable.
• Maintain computerized health records for students.
• Refer students to primary care and community resources as needed.
• Lead blood pressure screenings for staff on request.
• Collaborate to maintain sanitary school environments.
• Counsel students on health issues and provide crisis intervention.
