Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work with students in the school setting in Grand Rapids, MI for the upcoming school year.

The role involves providing nursing care for students with medical needs and may include transportation with the patient to and from school. Applicants should hold an LPN license and BLS certification, with health clearance and immunization requirements met.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior LPN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for student(s) with medical needs (Trach, vent, G-tube Feedings, seizure monitoring with rescue medications, personal care, Diabetic care, etc.).
• May ride the bus to and from school with patient.
