Scenic Living Communities in Iowa Falls is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse to join our team. We offer full-time (30+ hours weekly) and part-time (up to 29 hours weekly) positions with day, evening, and night shifts.

The Charge Nurse will plan, organize, and supervise resident care, support the Director of Nursing, and ensure compliant, compassionate care in a long-term care setting. A Iowa license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Iowa license in good standing.
• Preferably 1–2 years as Charge Nurse in long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
• You must complete the LPN Supervisory Course within 90 days of employment.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement resident care per nursing practice standards and policies.
• Make daily rounds to monitor residents' condition and comfort.
• Assist with developing and evaluating plans of care with the Director of Nursing.
• Encourage restorative care in self-care and group activities.
• Monitor staff compliance with policies and assess clinical skills and performance.
• Communicate with health care providers and ensure proper hand-offs between shifts.
• Oversee direct care staff and ensure tasks are completed as assigned.

The Charge Nurse plans, organizes, and assists in providing direct and indirect resident care following established policies and procedures, standards of nursing practice and principles of nursing care.
