Job summary

Fairpark Health and Rehab in Tennessee seeks an LPN/RN Night Shift Supervisor to oversee nightly clinical operations, support and guide nursing staff, and help ensure safety and high-quality care for residents overnight.

As a strong clinical leader, you will coordinate with the Director of Nursing, develop policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a compassionate, resident-centered environment in a fast-paced overnight setting.

Qualifications

• Active LPN/RN license required.
• Long-term care experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Director of Nursing with planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the nursing service department.
• Develop and update written policies and procedures for the nursing service department.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Determine staffing needs of the nursing service department to meet residents' needs.
• Supervise scheduling of employees within state guidelines.
• Ensure direct nursing care is provided by licensed staff and aides as applicable.
• Review nurses’ notes for accuracy and resident response.
• Incorporate training materials into in-service programs.
• Lead in developing goals for in-service educational programs.

Fairpark Health and Rehab is seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Shift Supervisor

Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the Director of Nursing with planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the nursing service department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the nursing care facilities.

• Develop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.

• Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care.

• Determine the staffing needs of the nursing service department necessary to meet the total nursing needs of the residents.

• Supervise and assist scheduling of employees within established state guidelines.

• Ensure that direct nursing care be provided by a licensed nurse, a CNA, and/or GNA/CMA as applicable, and/or a nurse aide trainee qualified to perform the procedure.

• Review nurses’ notes to ensure that they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care being provided, that they reflect the resident’s response to the care, and that such care is provided in accordance with the resident’s wishes.

• Incorporate commercially produced instruction material and training aids into existing in-service programs as deemed necessary.

• Provide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the in-service educational programs of this Center.

Qualifications:

• Active LPN/RN License

• Long-term care experience is required.

• Supervisory experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of MatrixCare preferred.
