Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking an LPN Medication Nurse in Prospect Heights, IL to provide licensed nursing support through safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.

You will administer medications per physician orders, document in MAR/TAR in real time, monitor symptoms, and ensure regulatory compliance while protecting resident health and safety.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief
• Report refusals or adverse reactions promptly
• Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs)
• Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and uphold compliance standards

What We're Looking For:

Pay Range:

29.25 - 39.05

In addition to base compensation, Sunrise may offer discretionary and/or non-discretionary bonuses. The eligibility to receive such a bonus will depend on the employee's position, plan/program offered by Sunrise at the time, and required performance pursuant to the plan/program.
