Job summary

Fraser Villa is hiring a Nurse (LPN/RN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and oversee daily nursing activities. The role ensures compliance with regulations and guides staff in quality care within a geriatric setting.

The ideal candidate has an LPN or nursing degree, an active license, CPR certification, and experience in long‑term care. Supervisory skills and strong communication are valued in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or graduation from an approved LPN program.
• Active, unencumbered LPN license in the state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience in long‑term care or geriatric populations preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily functions of nursing personnel in compliance with applicable rules and standards for long‑term care.
• Coordinate nursing services with other departments to ensure comprehensive resident care.
• Develop, maintain, and implement quality assurance programs for the nursing department.
• Oversee resident admissions, transfers, and discharges, completing all required documentation.
• Perform routine charting and ensure accuracy in documentation per policies and procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, adhering to the "five rights" of medication administration.
• Review medication and treatment records for accuracy and adherence to stop‑order policies.
• Conduct daily rounds to ensure staff compliance with nursing standards and performance expectations.
