Job summary

American HealthCare in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a PRN Travel Pool to provide direct care to residents in a geriatric setting and supervise non-professional staff in the Nursing Department.

The LPN administers, stocks, and disposes medications per facility policy, ensures CNAs have adequate coverage on each shift, and travels as needed with travel expenses reimbursed beyond a mileage threshold.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Must hold an active LPN license in Virginia.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing in a long-term care facility.
• Good driving record.
• Ability to make independent decisions.

Responsibilities

Job Details: Job Location: Roanoke, VA 24014, Salary Range: $30.00 - $50.00 Hourly, American HealthCare has an immediate career opportunity for an LPN - PRN Travel Pool and love to travel. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced professional to make a positive difference in the geriatric population. Travel expenses will be reimbursed beyond an agreed mileage limit. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for participating in the direct care of residents as well as supervising all non-professional personnel in the Nursing Department. They administer, stock, and dispose of medications in accordance with facility policies and procedures. The LPN ensures the CNAs are properly administering services and there is adequate CNA coverage on each shift. Enjoy working in a team environment and making a difference in our residents lives.
