Job summary

American HealthCare is seeking an RN for a PRN Travel Pool to provide day-to-day care for residents in a geriatric setting. The nurse will supervise LPNs and CNAs on duty and administer medications as directed by the physician. Travel reimbursement is provided beyond an agreed mileage limit.

The ideal candidate holds an ASN or BSN from an accredited college, an active Virginia RN license, and is comfortable working in long-term care environments with a strong focus on safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Must have ASN or BSN degree from an accredited college.
• Must have an active RN license in the state of Virginia.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
• Good driving record.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing in a long-term care facility.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
