Job summary

Hospice of Marion County, a part of Empath Health, seeks an LPN (PRN) to support the Crisis Care Team in Ocala. You will provide critical, in-home care, monitoring needs and delivering medications under the Primary RN guidance.

This role emphasizes compassionate end-of-life care, collaboration with the CTM and other IDT members, plus community education about Empath Health’s Full Life Care philosophy.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida LPN License.
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License.
• CPR certification from ARC or AHA.
• Current IV Therapy certification preferred; must obtain within six months.
• Reliable transportation for field-based tasks.
• Proof of automobile insurance in HR file.

Responsibilities

• Monitor physical, functional, psychological, social, spiritual and safety needs; escalate as needed.
• Administer medications/treatments per MAR and document per policy.
• Provide compassionate care before, during, and after death with the family.
• Educate community about Empath Health philosophy and participate in nursing functions.

Providing one-on-one care in homes and facilities.
