Pay: Minimum starting rate of $23.00

Job Responsibilities
  • Patient Care - Contributes and collects data for patient health assessments or research protocols. Provides patient care as directed. Administers medications and treatments as ordered. Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
  • Planning - Participates in developing, maintaining, or modifying the nursing or research care plan. Incorporates age-specific and culturally diverse concepts, considering patient's age and developmental stage.
  • Collaboration - Works with other healthcare team members regarding patient care or research protocols.
  • Compliance, Safety, and Quality - Maintains organizational and regulatory standards. Follows policies and reports safety concerns.
  • Diversity - Ensures patients and families feel welcomed, safe, and respected. Incorporates cultural concepts into care and engages families considering cultural impacts.
To function under the supervision of RN or providers in providing direct care to pediatric and young adult patients within the Performance Standards for Practical Nurses.

Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a practical nursing (LPN) or vocational nurse (LVN) program
  • Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Preferred: Pediatric or research facility experience
  • Preferred: 2+ years of relevant experience

Additional Details

Location: Lincoln Building

Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

Department: Private Duty Nursing

Employee Status: Regular, FTE 0.8, 32 hours/week

Starting Pay Range: $21.52 - $26.23 annually, based on FTE
