Penn State Health Medical Group Nyes Rd – Suite A is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its team in a fast-paced primary care office that sees 150 patients per day. The LPN will room patients, take vitals, reconcile medications, complete intake questionnaires, and perform Point-of-Care testing, vaccines, EKGs, phlebotomy, and assist with in-house procedures.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice as an LPN by state of employment or multistate license.
• BLS required prior to orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to an assigned patient group under RN/physician supervision.
• Observes, records medical information in chart and EMR.
• Administers medications per policy.
• Instructs patients and families per teaching plan.
• Coordinates patient care with healthcare team.
• Maintains professional knowledge through ongoing education.
• Participates in quality improvement and research activities.
• Handles emergency situations as needed.
