Job summary

Valor Healthcare is seeking a passionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in East Los Angeles. The role involves providing prescribed medical treatment and personal care, collaborating with the PACT team, and supporting patient care planning.

You will administer medications, perform nursing assessments, and use VISTA/CPRS EMR while delivering compassionate care to veterans.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited practical nursing program.
• Minimum one year of LPN/LVN experience in primary care or ambulatory care setting; government VA experience preferred.
• Unrestricted nursing license in the state of employment.
• Current BLS (ACLS as required by VA contract).
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; strong computer/EMR skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care, physical examinations and routine nursing tasks.
• Perform annual and routine nursing assessments and preventive health services.
• Administer medications and document in the electronic medical record.
• Operate EKG and other diagnostic equipment; collect specimens.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with VA and company requirements.
