Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Internal Medicine clinic at Myers Park. The role involves preparing patients, performing lab procedures, assisting physicians, administering medications, and coordinating patient care in a 40-hour workweek.

The ideal candidate holds an LPN license with BLS, excellent communication, and basic EMR proficiency. The clinic operates Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, with pay range $24.10–$36.15 hourly and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days unless exempt.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam; records vital signs and health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures following aseptic technique and safety guidelines.
• Assists physicians with procedures and surgeries as needed.
• Administers medications under orders; manages IV therapy within scope.
• Educates patients on tasks and self-care; coordinates referrals and follow-ups.
• Communicates with health care team; documents patient status accurately.
• Performs advanced clinical tasks under supervision (sutures, catheterization, EKG, etc.).
• Maintains exam rooms and equipment; assists with patient transport and room turnover.
• Participates in quality improvement and patient-centered initiatives.
