Job summary

Cottonwood Creek Behavioral Hospital, an Oceans Healthcare Company, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our behavioral health team. You will provide nursing care under RN supervision, following the multidisciplinary treatment plan and facility policies to support patients with mental health and substance use needs.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, safe medication administration, communication with the care team, and precepting new staff.

Qualifications

• Current, valid LPN/LVN license in the state of employment.
• Compact licenses are acceptable for this role.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality nursing care to assigned patients and notes deviations from normal.
• Documents findings in patient records and communicates assessment results to the care team.
• Implements care plans and nursing interventions with other providers.
• Performs bedside labs, wound care, and assists with ADLs.
• Administers medications safely per physician orders and provides patient education on meds.
• Communicates needs and coordinates care to ensure continuity across disciplines.
• Precepts and mentors new staff as needed.
