CSL Plasma is hiring for a donor center medical staff member to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and to provide limited emergency care to donors and staff in compliance with licensure. You will interview donors, review medical histories and monitor test results to ensure safe donation.

Candidates should have graduation from paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic program, with at least one year in a health-care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic training.
• License or state certification as applicable if graduation from foreign medical school.
• Minimum 1 year health-care experience.
• Experience in plasma or whole blood center preferred.
• Ability to perform and interpret heart and lung assessments and screen for drug use.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff according to licensure.
• Interview donors and review medical history to determine donation suitability.
• Collaborate with Center Medical Director to address donor suitability questions.
• Review test results to assess continued donor suitability.
• Counsel donors with reactive test results and refer for follow-up.
• Provide routine care per SOPs and escalate critical situations to physician.
