Job summary

Aultman Health System in Dalton, Ohio is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care and education under the supervision of an RN. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to maintain high nursing standards.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree and an active Ohio LPN license, with BLS/RQI. IV certification is preferred. Day shift, 7am–5pm, four days per week; sign-on bonus up to $10,000.

Position Summary

The primary purposes of the Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) are to provide direct patient care, patient and family teaching, and work cooperatively within the interdisciplinary health care team in maintaining standards of nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) and within the framework of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

Department Summary

Aultman Orrville Dunlap Family Physicians is a family practice that specializes in acute and chronic care for pediatrics and geriatrics, preventative care, and minor surgeries. Our practice has offices located in Apple Creek, Dalton, Doylestown, and Orrville with 9 physicians and 12 Advanced Practitioners. We are dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to our patients and community at every stage of life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, active licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Obtain and maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) training in Basic Life Support (BLS) utilizing Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) is required.
• IV Certification, preferred.

Working Conditions

• Meal and break times are coordinated with other staff members to maintain adequate coverage.
• Shifts are scheduled or changed due to the staffing needs of the unit/department based upon volume and acuity.
• Work weekends and holidays as assigned or as applicable based on department needs.
