Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Virginia Beach, VA is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to care for pediatric patients in the home setting, including G-tube, trach, and ventilator needs. You will join a team focused on safe, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; provide skilled nursing services per orders; monitor patient status; and document data and diagnoses. Must hold current LPN license and BLS, TB test/Chest X-ray.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state of practice.
• TB test or Chest X-Ray completed and up to date.
• BLS certification currently active.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Provide skilled nursing services on each assignment per prescribed orders.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collect, analyze, and document health data and nursing diagnoses.

Education

LPN/LVN licensed in the practicing state

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice.
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
