Maxim Healthcare in Virginia Beach, VA seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide in-home care for pediatric and/or adult patients with G-tube, trach, and ventilator needs. Locations include Chesapeake and Suffolk; shifts largely overnight (10p-6a or 11p-7a).

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, delivering skilled care per orders, and monitoring patient changes. Required: active LPN license, TB/X-ray, and BLS. Competitive benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice.
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• On each assignment, provides skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
