Job summary

UNC Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care across inpatient, ambulatory, home health, or hospice settings. The role requires completing a nursing program, NC LPN licensure, and BLS, with a 40-hour work week and a day schedule.

Depending on unit needs, you will participate in care planning, monitor patients, and support families through admission and discharge processes. This is a full-time onsite position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Licensed to practice as an LPN in North Carolina.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development and maintenance of an individualized plan of care and consults with other health professionals to ensure patient needs are met.
• Observes, assesses, and reports patient response to treatments and adjusts priorities of care.
• Participates in unit or department enrichment activities and CQI groups.
• Provides a broad range of treatments and therapies, monitors equipment, and assists with procedures as needed.
• Assists patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
• Provides support to patients and families and de-escalates tense situations.
