Job summary

UNC Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Lumberton, NC for a full-time, onsite role. The position includes 40 hours per week with a rotating weekend schedule and weekend differentials.

The successful candidate will provide direct patient care across settings per care plans and physician orders. Required are NC LPN licensure with BLS and a state-accredited practical nurse program, plus at least two years of LPN experience.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from a state-accredited practical nurse program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in NC with BLS required.
• Two years of LPN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development and maintenance of an individualized plan of care.
• Observes and documents patient responses to treatments and teaches care plans.
• Participates in unit/department CQI activities and education of staff.
• Administers medications and supports physician with procedures and monitoring.
• Assists patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
• Provides support and de-escalation for distressed patients and coping strategies.
