Job summary

You will provide essential direct patient care across neonatal to geriatric populations, support admission/discharge, and participate in multidisciplinary team activities while ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from a state accredited program of practical nurse education.
• Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in North Carolina. Requires BLS.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development and maintenance of a current, individualized care plan and collaborates with other health professionals.
• Observes and documents patient responses to treatments; reports data to responsible physician or RN; adjusts care priorities as needed.
• Participates in unit/department activities and CQI initiatives to improve outcomes.
• Provides broad range of nursing treatments and therapies per plan of care and monitors equipment and procedures.
• Assists patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
• Provides support and de-escalation for frightened or potentially aggressive patients and facilitates coping strategies.
