Qualifications

• Graduation from a state accredited practical nurse program.
• Licensed to practice as an LPN in North Carolina with BLS certification.
• Two years of experience as an LPN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an individualized, goal-oriented plan of care and consult with other health professionals as needed.
• Observe, assess, document, and report patient response to treatments and adjust care priorities accordingly.
• Participate in unit or department enrichment activities and CQI initiatives.
• Provide a broad range of treatments and therapies and assist the physician with procedures and monitoring.
• Assist patients and families during admission, orientation to hospital/clinic, and discharge.
• Provide support to patients and families; de-escalate anxious or aggressive individuals and assist with coping strategies.
