Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry, along with clinical duties including vital signs, patient prep, and medication administration in an outpatient setting. Required education is graduation from an state board accredited practical nursing program.

Prior outpatient or ambulatory clinic experience is preferred, with strong communication and computer skills expected.

• Carry out delegated tasks as directed by supervisors or with provider oversite.
• Proficient Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Administrative duties: answering phones, scheduling appointments, data entry in medical records.
• Clinical duties: measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics and medical information including medication review, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms and stocking supplies.
• Administration of medications as ordered by the physician.
• Performing competencies as directed by the department.
