Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Outpatient Clinic to deliver patient-centered care in a predictable Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with no weekends. You’ll collaborate with providers and nurses, document care in the EMR, and support scheduling and clinic operations.

The role emphasizes clinical responsibilities, medication management, and infection prevention in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana LPN license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
• Ability to provide safe, effective nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and excellent patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• As a Clinic LPN, you’ll work alongside providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care, coordinate clinical services, and help create a positive experience for every patient.
• Obtain and document vital signs, recognize abnormal findings, and communicate concerns to the appropriate healthcare provider.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and vaccinations in accordance with provider orders, department policies, and applicable scope of practice.
• Maintain medication and vaccine inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of expired medications.
• Accurately document patient care and clinical tasks in the electronic medical record, ensuring patient privacy.
