Responsibilities for an LPN/RN Unit Manager

• Assume responsibility and accountability for resident care on assigned unit
• Oversee resident care to promote the highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning possible for assigned unit
• Ensure complete and prompt reporting of incidents with follow‑up as necessary to Administrator and Director of Nursing
• Actively participate in committee/programs as directed by Director of Nursing
• Participate in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures based on identified needs

Qualifications for an LPN/RN Unit Manager

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN / RN in this state.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR)
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of nursing experience required; Two (2) or more years of experience as a supervisor in a nursing care center, hospital or other related health care center.
