Care Village Healthcare in East Longmeadow is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Registered Nurses (RN) to join our long-term care facility. We offer new wage scale, competitive shift differentials, and flexible scheduling. Shifts available: Day (7a-3p) and FT hours.

Responsibilities include administering medications, supervision, charting, responding to residents' needs, and ensuring safety and quality care in accordance with policies. MA licenses required; join a supportive team.

• Ordering prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment.
• Participating in the orientation of new staff to the unit.
• Monitor performance standards with the staff and ensure the staff education/training is completed.
• Ensure QAPI standards are adhered to.
• Monitor and participate in the Ambassador program.
• Making rounds with physicians, physician's assistants, and nurse practitioners.
• Notifying the resident's physician and/or next of kin when there is an incident involving the resident or a change in the resident's condition.
• Consulting with the resident's physician in providing the resident's cares, treatments, rehabilitation, et cetera.
• Administering professional services within the scope of nursing practice such as: catheterization, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings, packs, and irrigations as required.
• Following organizational policies and procedures when providing nursing care.
• Obtaining sputum, urine, and other specimens for lab tests as ordered.
• Monitoring seriously ill residents as necessary.
• Ensuring that personnel providing direct care to residents are providing such care in accordance with the residents' care plan and wishes.
• Receiving and transcribing physician's orders in accordance with the facility's procedures.
• Completing all necessary charting as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures.
