Emerald Nursing & Rehab Omaha is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to residents in Omaha. You will assess patient needs, provide direct nursing care, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve the best outcomes.

This role requires Nebraska LPN/LVN licensure, graduation from an accredited program, CPR/BLS, strong communication, and the ability to lift and move patients.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN/LVN license in Nebraska or multi-state.
• Graduation from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required; additional state certifications may be required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; teamwork with a diverse healthcare team.
• Ability to lift/move patients and stand for extended periods.

Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/ Registered Nurse (RN) at Emerald Nursing & Rehab Omaha, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our residents. Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Monitoring and Assessment: Monitor residents’ vital signs, document their progress, and report any significant changes to the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing.
• Care Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet each resident’s needs.
• Communication: Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patient care, communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Compliance: Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including infection control and safety protocols.
• Support: Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families, helping them understand care plans and health conditions.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including RNs, CNAs, physicians, and therapists, to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care.
