Job summary

Shawnee Health Carterville Medical Clinic in Southern Illinois is seeking a LPN or RN to join a dedicated team led by the Nurse Manager. You will perform patient care duties, obtain vital signs, assist with immunizations, document in the EHR, and support inventory and clinic workflows.

Starting salary is $21.10–$27.33 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois nursing license to practice as LPN or RN
• Current BLS certification
• Valid Illinois driver’s license and auto liability insurance on personal vehicle

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisor and team during the workday to meet patient needs.
• Follow clinic policies and procedures for medication administration, immunizations, sign out, reconciliation and inventory management.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain a clean, organized and confidential work area.
• Greet patients, verify name and DOB, and escort to exam room.
• Obtain vital signs, height/weight, allergies, reconcile medications, review systems, update immunizations and document in the EHR.
• Perform Point of Care Testing and ensure lab quality measures are met.
• Document reportable disease to IDPH in a timely manner.

Shawnee Health is seeking a LPN or RN for our Shawnee Health Carterville Medical Clinic. This position reports directly to the Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities

In addition to all normal LPN or RN job duties additional duties will include the following responsibilities:

• Communicate with supervisor and other team members during the workday to meet the needs of the patients.
• Follows all clinic policies and procedures for medication and immunization administration, sign out, reconciliation and inventory management.
• Prepares the exam rooms for the patient by setting up any needed equipment and maintains a clean, organized, efficient and confidential work area.
• Greets the patient, escorts the patient to the exam room, and verifies patient name and date of birth.
• Obtains vital signs, height and weight, allergies, completes medication reconciliation, review of systems, updates immunizations and documents relevant information by following appropriate EHR workflow for the visit type and alerts provider to any concerns.
• Responsible for performing Point of Care Testing and ensuring all lab quality measures are maintained.
• Responsible for documenting reportable disease to IDPH in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and auto liability insurance on personal vehicles.
• Must have a valid Illinois nursing license to practice as a LPN or RN
• Current BLS certification
