Job summary

Shawnee Health is seeking a Full-Time CMA or LPN for our Same Day Clinic in Southern Illinois. This role involves a rotating 4-10 hour shift schedule with Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Same Day clinic and other shifts floating to the Behavioral Health or Same Day clinic, reporting to the Assistant Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities include patient check-in/out, vital signs, immunizations, medication reconciliation, and point-of-care testing, all performed within an organized, confidential

Qualifications

• Licensed in Illinois to practice as LPN or CMA certification.
• Experience with immunizations and medication administration preferred.
• Ability to work in a rotating schedule across clinics.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisor and team to meet patient needs.
• Follow clinic policies for medication and immunization administration, sign out, reconciliation and inventory management.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, confidential work area.
• Greet patients, escort to exam room, verify name and date of birth.
• Obtain vital signs, height/weight, allergies, reconcile medications, review systems, update immunizations and document in EHR.
• Perform Point of Care Testing and maintain lab quality measures.
• Document reportable disease to IDPH in a timely manner.

Shawnee Health Same Day Float – CMA or LPN

Shawnee Health is seeking a Full-Time CMA or LPN for our Shawnee Health Same Day Clinic. This position consists of 4-10 hour shifts weekly and reports directly to the Assistant Nurse Manager. Wednesdays and Thursdays will be worked at the Same Day clinic and the other shifts will float between Same Day or the Behavioral Health clinic.

Responsibilities

In addition to all normal CMA/LPN job duties additional duties will include the following responsibilities:

• Communicate with supervisor and other team members during the work day to meet the needs of the patients.
• Follows all clinic policies and procedures for medication and immunization administration, sign out, reconciliation and inventory management.
• Prepares the exam rooms for the patient by setting up any needed equipment and maintains a clean, organized, efficient and confidential work area.
• Greets the patient, escorts the patient to the exam room, and verifies patient name and date of birth.
• Obtains vital signs, height and weight, allergies, completes medication reconciliation, review of systems, updates immunizations and documents relevant information by following appropriate EHR work-flow for the visit type and alerts provider to any concerns.
• Responsible for performing Point of Care Testing and ensuring all lab quality measures are maintained.
• Responsible for documenting reportable disease to IDPH in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and auto liability insurance on personal vehicles.
• Must have a valid Illinois nursing license to practice as a LPN or certification as a Medical Assistant

Starting salary - $20.00-23.08/hour
