Job summary

Essentia Health’s OB/GYN clinic in Fargo, ND seeks an LPN or CMA to assist in patient care and support the clinical team. This position runs 8 am–5 pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call rotations.

Eligible candidates include ND LPNs or CMAs, with BCLS within 3 months. You will work alongside RNs and physicians to provide compassionate obstetric and gynecologic care.

Qualifications

• Education as required for licensure.
• LPN: North Dakota license upon hire; CMA: certification or equivalent with within one year.
• BCLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in ambulatory and/or home care setting.
• Cares for patients from newborn to elderly as noted.

Job Description:

Essentia Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant to serve in our obstetrics and gynecology practice at our 32nd Avenue Building in Fargo, North Dakota. This LPN or CMA works 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. No weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations are required.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• LPN: Valid North Dakota LPN license upon hire.


• LPN: Minnesota LPN license required within 3 months of hire.


• CMA: Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire. Must pass certification within two attempts.


• CMA: Must be registered as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire/transfer. Clinical Assistant can NOT administer medication prior to being registered as a MAIII through the ND BON.


• BOTH: AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
