Job summary

Essentia Health in Park Rapids, MN, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant for family practice. The role runs 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday, three days weekly as a 0.6 FTE with no holidays or on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• LPN licensure with Minnesota State Board of Nursing upon hire.
• CMA registration or certification or completion of CMA program; must become certified within one year.

• Assist RN, physicians and other providers; provide direct patient care in ambulatory setting.
• Perform procedures within demonstrated competencies.
• Care for patients from newborn to elderly as per age-related categories.

Job Description:

Essentia Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse of Certified Medical Assistant to serve in our family practice at our Park Rapids Clinic in Park Rapids, Minnesota. This LPN or CMA works 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, three days a week. No holiday or on-call rotations are required.

Will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated. Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:

• LPN: Current LPN licensure with the Minnesota state board of nursing upon hire.


• CMA: current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified withinone year of date of hire. Must pass certification withintwo attempts.


• Both: AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
