Job summary

Social Row Transitional Care seeks an experienced nursing supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities on their unit. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and support the Director of Nursing to maintain high-quality care.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, participating in QA/QI and infection control programs, handling admissions/discharges, and ensuring timely reporting of incidents and medication administration.

Qualifications

• Leadership and team supervision abilities.
• Strong communication with staff and residents.
• Knowledge of QA/QI processes and infection control.
• Understanding of regulations governing long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in directing day-to-day nursing activities.
• Ensure nursing staff follow facility policies and procedures.
• Participate in QA/QI, infection control, and safety programs.
• Assist in surveys conducted by government agencies.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Complete accident and incident reports and investigate as needed.
• Prepare and administer nursing services: medications, treatments, personal care.
• Notify DON/ADON of drug/narcotic discrepancies.
• Develop work assignments and support State Testing Nursing Assistants.
