Job summary

Ventura Services Florida seeks an experienced Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing assistants and provide direct patient care in a Florida long-term care setting. This role ensures compliance with Nurse Practice Act and center policies while guiding daily operations and care plans.

The position requires a current Florida LPN license, postsecondary education, and the ability to supervise staff, document care, and coordinate with physicians.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid LPN license in the state employed.
• Completion of postsecondary education and be able to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance as required.
• Must be able to work weekend and overtime as required.
• Must meet all local health regulations and pass postemployment exam, if required.
• Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish this position.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of Nursing Assistants under policy.
• Ensure compliance with Nursing Service procedures and policies.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered and record accurately.
• Conduct rounds and coordinate with physicians and other residents services.
• Complete required documentation and reports for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Participate in surveys and discharge planning as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality, safety, and infection control standards.
